Mike FaulknerI have 22 years experience working in senior management in the cultural industries - the last sixteen working in the North West. Between 1984 and 1996 I developed a career in marketing cultural products and in management development training in the cultural industries. Since 1996 I have specialised in mentoring, organisational evaluation and management development in the Third Sector.
Between 1996 and 2004 my work focused on developing cross-sector partnerships and performance development with North West Arts Board (’96/2000), Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation (Deputy Director 2000/2003) and Manchester City Council Cultural Strategy Team (Team Leader 2003/04).
I am an approved consultant with the National Council for Voluntary Organisations and an accredited management mentor with Manchester University’s Science Enterprise Centre, Business Creation Unit post graduate programme, Business in the Arts:North West and Full Circle Arts (awarded Level 2 accreditation via Open College Network 2005)
In addition to my professional consultancy work I am the Chair of Cartwheel Arts, a cultural community regeneration company based in Rochdale and a volunteer Mentor to a freelance artist.
