Cultural Fusion and Arts Council of England North West
Cultural Fusion (a project of Longsight Youth Arts Project) provides opportunities for young people aged 10- 25 to develop their artistic potential, particularly in music. The project offers high quality, inspirational training for the widest cross section of young people. CF specialises in music of black origin including gospel, soul, R&B and reggae and can work with young people in whatever kind of music they like.
Brief:
In July 2005 Cultural Fusion and Arts Council England commissioned G&M Associates Ltd to help restructure LYAP and CF and prepare a 2 year Action Plan. We were also asked to mentor the development of a 3 year Grants for the arts Lottery bid.
Outcomes:
We produced a detailed report and management and governance action plan. Cultural Fusion now has a clear structure and areas of accountability between the functions of the Charity and the Company. We also helped to identify a longer term mentoring plan for the Director and the Administrator. Our input to the Lottery bid and our work with the Arts Council enabled Cultural Fusion to achieve an award of £89k.
